Tom & Shari | Engaged

When we pulled up to park at this location, it was still pretty early, 7:30am. And it was absolutely POURING. Like, “when your windshield wipers are on full blast and still can’t keep up” pouring. Tom & Shari pulled up behind us a few minutes later, and we waved them into our car so we could chat while staying dry. Right away, they were laughing about the rain and we knew this was going to be a fun shoot. We pulled open our umbrellas and started walking toward the jungle where we wanted to shoot. Almost as soon as we clicked our shutter the first few times, the rain just stopped. We didn’t know whether to be relieved or not, as we had all decided to fully embrace it, but Tom said out loud “Man, I was kind of hoping it would keep raining!” Regardless, we tromped around the beautiful forest and jungle out on the north side of Oahu and had an absolute blast doing so. These two weren’t afraid to get wet, whether from the rain or the ocean, and by the end we were all pretty much soaked through. It was the perfect warm up for their incredible wedding a few days later in Honolulu. A blog of that is coming soon!
