Introducing… ADVENTURE SESSIONS

StateFullWIDE

We are very excited to announce a new type of service we will be offering starting in June of 2015! We have long been passionate about photography AND exploring, and we have finally decided to combine the two! What is an “Adventure Session”? Read on…

WHO: Anyone interested in getting their photos taken in the stunning, scenic North Cascades in the great PNW. Must be willing and able to hike at least a few miles. Couples only at this time please.

WHAT: A full day of adventuring with Stefan & Audrey. We’ll drive you up into the mountains, we’ll feed you Northwest inspired meals (think smoked salmon, fresh local berries, local breads, hummus, etc.), provide coffee and drinks (does anyone else love NW craft beer?), and of course get some killer photos of you amongst scenery you’ve only dreamed of. Think hiking – meets photo session – meets awesome double date.

WHEN: Weekdays only, June through October.

WHERE: Honestly, anywhere you want. We have a somewhat strict rule though that we have to have hiked or been there before. However, we’ve been scoping out hikes and locations for quite a while, and we’ve got a pretty good list going. There is no lack of locations in our beautiful North Cascades. All the mountains & hikes off the Mount Baker Highway is our main area of expertise.

WHY: Because photo sessions at the local park or brick wall behind Safeway are okay, but photo sessions amongst giant snow capped volcanoes and towering evergreens are better. Or maybe you don’t have any photos that you LOVE and want to frame in your home. Maybe you have an anniversary coming up and need a great date idea and some fresh and beautiful anniversary photos at the same time. And because when you live in Washington State, not taking advantage of that fact is just wrong.

Please email us directly at stefanandaudrey@gmail.com to talk about setting up your adventure!

FAQ

Q: What’s the difference between an adventure session and a regular photo session?

A: Here’s the difference. Instead of meeting at a local spot for an hour or two for photos, we actually drive you up into the mountains for the day, take you on a pretty legit hike, bring tasty coffee and Northwest food, take beautiful photos along the way, and have a ton of fun with you guys exploring some of the most beautiful spots on earth. (For a taste of what it would look like, check out a few Adventure Sessions HERE!) This will not replace other sessions, this is simply a different option!

Q: Can this take the place of our engagement session the wedding package we just booked? (Or want to book?)

A: Yes, this can be swapped out for your engagement session that we include in your wedding package, with an additional cost. Please email us if this is your preference and we’ll work out those details!

Q: Are you going to pick our location or how does that work?

A: We can pick the spot, yes. We will work together with you though to figure out the best location for you based on how far you want to hike, trail conditions, and location. It will need to be a place, though, that we have been before.

Q: How much does it cost?

$675.  The price includes a disc of the edited images from the day with rights release! We are taking a limited number of these sessions, so space is limited.

Q: What are we supposed to bring and wear?

A: We’ll let you know our full list of recommended items to bring, but it won’t be complicated. Hiking shoes, layers of clothing (that you want your photo taken in of course), and backpacks are the main things.

Q: Are you guys wilderness/backcountry experts?

A: Not exactly. However, we love hiking and have done quite a bit of it. We typically stay on or near the trail, and don’t go “bushwacking”, so we never get lost or put ourselves or you in danger.

Q: Why only weekdays? Can we do this on a weekend?

A: Summer weekends for us are packed with weddings, so to book Adventure Sessions on weekends would not only fill our schedules up way too tight, we would potentially miss out on a wedding booking, which is our bread and butter.

Q: What if the weather on our scheduled day is terrible?

Then your photos will be that much more epic. Fog and rain look pretty rad on camera. Bring an umbrella and an extra pair of socks. But for real, a mutual rescheduling isn’t out of the question either.

Q: Are you going to pick us up or are we meeting you somewhere?

A: Depends on where you live. We’ll probably have you meet at our place, but we’ll work it out with you.

Q: Will this be fun?

A: Duh. YES.

Q: Can we do this for an elopement? How about a family session?

A: Elopements are more than welcome. That would be AWESOME. But at this time we are just doing couples, no families. Adding children to the mix is not something we’re ready for yet. Same with dogs, sorry. However we can still do your family shoot in a sweet mountainous location, email us if you want to chat more about that!

Q: Can we listen to Nickelback on the entire drive up the mountain?

A: Duh. NO.
