Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:
“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.”
2 Corinthians 9:6-9
Have you ever felt homesick for a place that isn’t your home? Eagles Nest, in Guatemala, has taken a permanent residence in my heart. Daily, I ache to be there, even for a moment. For the sound of the cars, chickens, and dogs raising up from the valley below. To feel the warmth of the sunshine & the sharp wind. For familiar smells, delicious coffee, and of course to hold those little babes that have stolen my heart completely. And I can say the same for probably every other person that has had the honor of visiting this beautiful place surrounded by volcanoes & breathtaking views.
The saying “Third Times A Charm” would most certainly apply to this trip. Every time we’ve gone back, the Lord has pulled different emotions out of us, He’s revealed Himself in different ways, & above all He’s always provided our every need. We could probably write pages on pages about this place and these people, but instead here are a few photos from our time in Guatemala in January. As Pedro would say, Be Blessed Familia.
