Living in the Pacific Northwest, we have grown used to having to reschedule photo shoots depending on the weather. Most people aren’t enthused to have their pictures taken during cold down pours. Max & Melanie live down near Tacoma, about a 3 hr drive from us, so we knew that if the weather wasn’t going to co-operate we wouldn’t have many options to reschedule. But lucky us, this couple ROCKED that rain!

Max & Melanie chose to have their engagement pictures taken at Point Defiance Park, the place where they had their first official date & where they got engaged! We had no idea how awesome this park was, so we definitely will need to go there again because it was gorgeous!

I have a good feeling the four of us are going to become really good friends, it’s just a shame they don’t live a little closer to us! It’s pretty great that Melanie found us through the Instagram hashtag #NorthwestIsBest, especially given that the Northwest gave us such a stereotypical wet, rainy evening amongst the moss and trees. We really do love where we live!
