HI, We’re Stefan & Audrey!
A married wedding photographer duo based in Bellingham, WA (the far northwest corner of Washington state). We tell most people we’re from Seattle, but we actually live in a small farming town right on the Canadian border, just north of Bellingham. We both grew up here, and love everything about it. Close to the mountains, the ocean, and the community of people here is absolutely incredible.
Sure, we’re wedding photographers, but over the years, we’ve come to realize that what we do is so much more than just showing up with cameras. It’s that we approach weddings with who we are, documenting exactly who YOU are. It’s also our tenured experience working with couples, planners, and other wedding vendors. And how life experiences outside of weddings impacts our vision and focus on an actual wedding day.
We’re relational, real, and natural. After documenting over 350 weddings, we’ve learned that the key to capturing the best photos (the ones that feel true to our couples) is the same thing that keeps us passionate and energized year after year. That is: building genuine relationships, keeping the process simple and enjoyable, and making sure the focus stays right where it belongs – on your love and your story.
We’ve also found that the best photos are created when the level of trust and creative freedom is at its highest possible point. When inhibitions, fears, and worries are left behind. When the anticipation about what’s around the next curve in the road is stronger than the fear that “this drizzle is going to ruin my hair.” And when our cameras become invisible, and you forget about everything else except the person you are embracing.
It’s been almost 15 years since we officially went into business as photographers. And the road hasn’t always been easy. We’ve learned a lot along the way, and still feel like we learn something new every year. Something we know for sure, though, is that we love weddings. We’re genuinely excited every time we’re in the car on the way to one, and we’re not sure how, but we have literally worked with the best people imaginable!
We’re more in love with each other than when we got married more than 16 years ago, and would not be where we are without the loving support of our incredible friends, church, family, and to whom we owe everything, our Lord Jesus Christ. This life is a roller coaster, and we’re screaming at the top of our lungs for multiple reasons.
STEFAN’S CURRENT FAVS: Smoking every type of meat he can get his hands on, making wooden photo frames, playing with our two beautiful kids, working in the backyard, being near the ocean, creating insanely good Spotify playlists, putting anything and everything into tortillas, palm trees, scoring the best VRBO finds possible, using excessive GIFs in his text messages, hiking, and the never-ending hunt for the perfect beer.
AUDREY’S CURRENT FAVS: Morning runs in the sunshine, coffee on the couch with the fam, beachcombing for agates, really really big salads, laughing with friends, poke, popcorn (not at the same time though), turning on the fireplace even when it’s 65 degrees out (or just having a bonfire outside despite the temperature), exploring new places, and as always, Hawaii.
